That’s one shitty translation
If you haven’t watched the girl with the dragoon tattoo… you should! The Swedish version… (duh – of course, Hollywood hasn’t put one out yet
) rocks..
@BaremyiahZ – I have to say I agree, because there wasn’t a single actor in this (amazing, awesomely-made) movie who would had been chose for their looks.
@jackerooskie
ofcourse hollywood is, they are killing everything good.
Skwisgaar Skwigelf is the only reasonable choice for the hollywood remake. Oh, and Tokii Wartooth.
What a great story, just so interesting! Great movie, in an age of carbon copies.
I’m in the US, and enjoyed the book and REALLY enjoyed the movie. The actors are superb. I’m surprised to hear hollywood is making a version. Regardless of who they will cast, I just don’t think they can capture the Swedish essence, mentality, aura which in itself is a character. Too bad S. Larsson didn’t stipulate that only Swedish actors can be in the movie (as J.K. Rowling did for Harry Potter). I think the only Swedes H’wood knows are Stellan & Alexander Skarsgard
@BaremyiahZ
Hollywoods dumb-ass obsession with looks and youth is what’s up.
This is so much better than the bullshit Hollywood churns out these days, and oh, I just bought the first two books of the series.
very dumb
Check out the movie, “Hard Candy”. It’s much more compelling and convincing
film than this. I’m almost at the end of this movie, and it’s just okay……
this girl looks like Edward Scissorhands… but anyone notice American films are much more into casting actors and actresses based mostly on their good looks than foreign films? What’s up with that?
@bicycledays maybe then again it could just be the only foreign films we notice are the really great ones?
this movie is very disturbing, I saw it yesterday and had nightmares.
is this out on dvd and blu ray tuesday?
the first chapter was brilliant, but i didn’t like the second one this much…you’re right, they shouldn’t make a remake of “the girl with the dragon tattoo”..but the girl who played with the fire can be improved by a remake, don’t you think so?
Eeee I finished this book yesterday.
Want to see this movie now! I heard it is brillian. I really do hope that America don’t do a remake. I mean really, even if they did I wouldn’t see it.
I watched this movie knowing nothing about it. I was just intrigued by the title. What a pleasant surprise! This movie IS a masterpiece! I told all my friends about it. I want to read the book now! I do hope the Americans will refrain from making their own version, as they always do. It never turns out well. I recommend everyone who likes thrillers to watch this film: the best thriller I’ve seen in many years. No kidding…
Noomi Rapace is freaking stunning.
@WOGI5M She’s mentally unstable, in the eyes of the Government anyways.
okay question:
WHY does she have a guardian if she’s 24? I haven’t watched the whole movie yet but i’m curious to know
@wickywhite Ive heard Brad Pitt and Stephanie Hunt are doing the American version.
@wickywhitegenerally speaking, America has a.d.d and cannot even look at subtitles without a breakdown.
I cant even recommend my 5 hr full version( aka ‘extended’)of Red Cliff to most my friends…but I enjoyed that chinese subbed movie enough to see it again.
best book i have ever read, i hope the movie doesnt ruin it.
I like the books a lot… is this worth seeing? Will it spoil the books?
Why does America need to remake a film that has just come out? I’m sure American’s can read subtitles.
Fantastic movie, awesome as hell just watched the whole thing! watch it now at [ hd-movieLLnet ](change LL to a dot)
Thanks!;)
The Australian DVD release will be much later, is only going theatrical there at the end of March
Is that the same in Australia?
Hi,
It’s coming out on DVD in New Zealand on the 15th of April
Thanks
